Ireland Lights Up has returned to Monaghan Harps GAA Club and will continue each Wednesday through January and February. Just a few points to note: Participation is entirely free of charge and suitable for all the family. Registration starts at 7.15pm in the clubhouse foyer. Every walker needs to register on a weekly basis for insurance purposes. Although our route has lighting, we recommend wearing high-vis clothing and carrying a small torch. We will have plenty of volunteers and a fantastic group of walking leaders present every night to ensure a safe and fun event for everyone.

Our Healthy Club Officer Úna Forde has registered the club for the GAA/Irish Life Every Step Counts challenge, which runs until February 15. Clubs who reach the target of walking a combined total of 4,000 km in that time – the equivalent of walking around the coastline of Ireland – will be entered into a draw to win O’Neill’s vouchers. To take part, download the My Life app, register your details, tap on the social tab within the app and select your club. Family and friends can join in too.
