IFL: We will host Aughnamullen in the quarter-finals of the Intermediate Football League this Saturday. Last Saturday’s final round of the IFL saw us fall to a narrow loss away to Emyvale. A goal by Michael Galligan and points from John McCrystal, Dara Mullin, Seán Callan and Fionán Ó Gallchóir got us off to a strong start and we led by 1-5 to 0-3 at half-time, only for Emyvale to turn things around during the third quarter. Lochlainn Power palmed to the net late on to keep us in contention, while Seán also kicked a two-pointer, but Emyvale held on by 1-15 to 2-10. Well done to Daniel Alexis for making his first IFL start.
Team and scorers: Daragh Croarkin; Shane Moran, Jake McConnon, Ethan McCaffrey; Gary Devlin, Seán Callan (0-3, 1 2-pt, 1 ‘45), Oisín Fagan; Lochlainn Power (Capt., 1-0), Dylan McKenna; Michael Galligan (1-0, pen) Cian Bradley, Daniel Alexis; Fionán Ó Gallchóir (0-2f), John McCrystal (0-3), Dara Mullin (0-2).
