Reserves: Our 2026 club season started with a narrow loss away to Clontibret in Division 1B of the Reserve Football League last Friday. Points from Kevin Moran, Dara Mullin and Fionán Ó Gallchóir kept us in touch in a first half that ended with Clontibret leading by 1-5 to 0-5. We fell further adrift in the third quarter, although we finished strongly, with Fionán leading the scoring as we cut our deficit, Clontibret held on in the end to win by the minimum: 1-12 to 0-14. Well done to Shay Lambe, Dáire McKenna and Daniel Alexis for making their debuts at adult level.

U-12: Our U-12s began their Spring League campaigns last weekend at home to Castleblayney. Well done to all involved.
League start dates: The Intermediate Football League is due to start on Sunday, April 12. The proposed start dates for juvenile/minor leagues are as follows: U-18: March 31; U-16: April 2; & U-14: March 21.
Arch Club: We were delighted to host Monaghan Arch Club for a very enjoyable evening last Thursday. Thanks to Damien Morgan for sponsoring the entertainment on the night from Bula Beag and to everyone who helped out in any way.
St. Patrick’s Day: Míle buíochas to everyone who contributed to our St. Patrick’s Day celebrations. Thanks to everyone who helped out with the stewarding the kids in the parade and those who helped in the clubhouse afterwards; we really appreciate all those who volunteer on these occasions.
Juvenile Coaching Workshop: We hosted a Coaching Workshop last Friday for all underage coaches. Thanks to our coaching committee for organising the night and to Monaghan GAA Coaching Officer Gary Wilson for his help and expertise.
DIL: Darkness Into Light returns to Monaghan Townin the early hours of Saturday, May 9, with registration now open.
