With the St. Patrick’s Day parade making a welcome return to Monaghan Town, our juveniles will be taking part tomorrow for the first time since 2019.

We will meet at the clubhouse on St. Patrick’s Day at 2.15pm and then walk up to our starting point in the parade. The theme this year is ‘Brighter Days Together’, so feel free to be artistic with face paint or hats etc., but most importantly wear your club colours. We don’t know what the weather will be like, but kids should wear plenty of layers to keep warm. We will bring the kids back to the clubhouse after the parade for refreshments. We would be very grateful if parents could contribute towards this by making sandwiches, buns or bringing other goodies for the party.

We have invited Monaghan Comhaltas CCÉ into the clubhouse tomorrow, Lá Fhéile Pádraig, at 5pm for cupán tae agus séisiún ceoil. Everyone welcome. Any help on the day would be very much appreciated.

Ahead of St. Patrick’s Day, Monaghan GAA is calling on its young members to celebrate our national saint by acting in a responsible manner. Respect is a key value of the GAA and we trust our members to be considerate of our local communities. Enjoy your day responsibly.
